GET RID OF WENGER ! ! !

I would hope that the title for this post would anger an Arsenal fan. It would probably anger any football fan! Why is it when things don't go well people always find someone to blame, I agree the players have not played their best at crucial times this season. I also agree that Wenger has made some poor tactical choices, but should some of the blame not fall on supporters who walk out on their team, boo their team and insult the manager at a meeting, that he set up and allowed open debate?

The fact of the matter is that attacking is not our problem it has been the defense, this is Wenger's argument, and he is absolutely correct. Just look at the league table, look at how many goals we conceded and how many we scored, then look at United. I know people will say, "look at how many games we drew", but look at how many games United should have drawn, but didn't because their defense let nothing in.

Have people forgotten that we have been riddled with injurys for the past two or three seasons. We only lost the league last year because Eduardo got injured and it was, in my oppinion, one player too much. We lost rosicky in January, he was playing brilliantly, Van persie, who was on fire, then comming into crunch time we lost Adebayors support, Eduardo.

That was our turning point in the season. You can't blame Wenger for that, it would be like Man United loosing Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez at the run in to the end of a season!!

And everyone knows if we won last year, everyone would all be singing a different tune about the man who brought glory to Arsenal.

The End is Nigh!

It is the BIG one this weekend away to Tottenham! Let's hope our new signing can create a spark within the team and burn Spurs. A win is a must for the Spuds this weekend, I wouldn't go as far as to say it relinquishes any chance of them staying up, but two losses in a row can't help morale.

I personally think that some of the Arsenal players will have to work harder because Arshavin is versatile. The likes of Eboue, Denilson, Diaby and even Adebayor have been pretty much guaranteed their place because of long term injuries, and not because of their form.

Let's see loads of goals (from us) on Sunday, and here is a song I made up for Tottenham.

Sang to the tune of Momma I'm Coming Home by Ozzy Osbourne:

"I could be wrong, I could be right,

Looks like Tottenham are just shite,

Tottenham your going down.

Your football's bad, your form is rough,

The premierleague have had enough,

Tottenham your going down."

P.S Check out Wrighty7 for his song about Arshavin and the responses, great reading!

David versus four Golliaths

Villa have punched above their weight and have done brilliantly, I have the utmost respect for the team and the manager. I know this is an Arsenal blog but I have seen numerous comments about Villa from gooners, I would like to leave a post to show my admiration for the team, and why we shouldn't slate them.

Ashley Young has really hit his stride and they could ask for no better leader than Garreth Barry, a player I would be happy to see at Arsenal. I applaud Villa and admire what O'Neil has done with this team.

I'm not sure if they will run out of steam. They are expected too and the players know this, so it takes some of the pressure off them.

Why are we bashing Villa for taken "our fourth spot" we should be pissed off at our team for putting themselves in this position. Do you not think its a bit sad to be pissed off at team for being in FOURTH place???

We had one of the easiest starts to the season we should have won all of our firs 4 games, but we know what happened.

So, round of applause for Villa!!!

Wenger's Kids Earn Their McDonalds!

Last night Wenger dropped the kids off at the park, and what do they do? The little terriers take over the place and kick Wigan out!! That was an amazing performance last night. The maturity and intelligence that the youngsters showed was incredible. The players didn't just pass the ball around they waited until the Wigan players committed themselves into the challenge.

It could have been a lot worse for them to if Kirkland hadn't been in such good form. This young squad has so many promising players, it's scary. I must admit I was worried a week ago, but I can see now that there will be trophies in the near future. We have they next Fabregas in the pipeline and his name is Jack Wilshere.

The way Wilshere moved around both on and off the ball was excellent. His passing was brilliant at times and the way he held up the ball was great. He is definitely one to watch. Vela proved his worth as well. Things look good for the future and credit must be given to Brady, Steve Bould and Neil Banfield for the work they've done with most of these players at youth level.

Come on the little gunners!!!!

The blog for the Irish gooner

This is the new improved look for my blog. Previously known as The Gooner Army. The problem was it was just another Arsenal blog. There has to be thousands of them but I could not find one that was directed at the Irish fan base.

Hopefully I will be able to find a few Irish fans, as stated in the blog description. As we all (Irish) know there is a countless number of United [plastic] fans here due to their success with the Premier league. There are still the remnants of the Liverpool fan base from their dominance over English football. Liverpool, actually have a massive fan base in Ireland, but I struggle to find Arsenal fans here.

Although I have friends who are Gooners in my home city (two), I have never come across them in abundance. So, if there are any more out there and they are reading this, don't be afraid to let yourselves be known and write a quick post declaring your admiration for a team with such a rich, vibrant history.

I wonder why The Wonder of You?

There is a desire to give the Emirates an electric atmosphere. The management of the club have come up with different ideas to do this, one of which is to give the team a song. They then decided to ask the fans to vote on a song.

The Wonder Of You
was selected. Is this an appropriate song for the team.? Does this song convey the feelings the fans have for the team into an emotional chant? Will it become part of the well established history we have and become strong driving force behind the team? These are a few of the questions I asked myself. To be honest, I feel it is a little cheesy.

It is one of those songs you hear being sang by an old, overweight man with a whiskey red face singing to his wife at a Karaoke night in Las Palmas. Maybe there is some history with song connected to the club. I don't know, I could be missing the point. Please enlighten me though. If someone knows the importance of this song, let me know.

I would like to know any other suggestions. What could we have for the club song? I was thinking of one for our present situation, Highway To Hell !!
